Part C- Elivator Pitch

Well today in groups we learnt about how to construct an elevator pitch. Before today I have never even heard of an elevator pitch but what a great idea it is . Basically its being able to pitch yourself to your desired employer in 30 seconds . The content of what you say needs to be direct and too the point but interesting enough for them to employ you or want to no more about what you have to say . At the moment as my practice stands I don't know who I would like my ideal employer to be so I have aimed my elevator pitch at Rosie miller, my dissertation tutor. I have began by writing bullet point as to what I would like to explore in my dissertation and what I'm interested in as a photographer. Then after I had concentrated my ideas down to valuable bullet points its easier and more direct to talk about . Here are my bullets point on what I would like to talk about the idea behind my dissertation;

• awkward Portraiture   
• Social documentary
• Representation of women
• Twenty first century beauty culture
• social media platforms influence
• a conformed sub culture
• The inside out debate
• social pressure ,social change
• Images developing in worth

Now I have developed my bullet points into the important parts of what I would like to talk about I just need to put them in to coherent sentences and I'm ready to pitch . 
I pitched to my group and my feedback was really positive . It was short, sweet and too the point . I will be using this technique again and I am also going to start thinking about applying the elevator pitch to other projects i have going on at the moment.
