I have decided to invest in this technical book to help me learn more about using my flash and to start using it to its capabilities rather than just a standard on camera flash . It not really a book you can read cover to cover as its more of a try as you go along kind of book. Below i have included a few of the pages i found most interesting . Really i looking into different ways of lighting my model/subject to create different effects.I have learnt for example that getting an extension pole and holding it about a models head can create Moody Sky's and dramatic lighting on facial features . Its made me realise that using more than one flash gun can have epic effects on an image . I wanted to improve my skills with this equipment because its light and easier to transport than studio lighting but to some degrees you can achieve the same effects. I wont stop using studio lights but on location shoot its just alot more practical . I'm also thinking of investing in stands and add on equipment such as soft boxes .
